Over 1,500 residents and children came out for the Annual Lakewood Ranch Eggstravaganza
The first student volunteer arrived at 6:45 am. Little did they know, the planning had started months prior. According to Lakewood Ranch Community Activities Director Keith Pandeloglou, the planning process for this event is a lot more detailed than one would expect. "Coordinating 24,000 eggs, with special eggs for each age group, can be a logistical challenge", said Pandeloglou, hosting his first event as Director of LWRCAC.
Once the additional volunteers arrived, began the challenge of evenly distributing the eggs. Thanks to many dedicated volunteers from our residents to our Lakewood Ranch High School leaders, the task was completed in time for the egg hunt which began promptly at 10:15. By 10:18, not an egg was left on any of the fields, all 24,000 scooped up by the over 1,000 children in attendance.
Special thanks go out to our Residents, Corporate Sponsors, Volunteers, and Board Members who helped to put on this event.
