Legacy Ladies Golf Association enjoyed their last day of league play (due to Legacy’s renovation) on Thursday, May 31, with an appropriate theme saying, “farewell to the old Legacy with a sweet sendoff”. All the ladies baked sweets for the membership to enjoy after golf that day, including cakes, tortes, cookies, brownies and pies. Due to the overwhelming response of sweets, most of the treats were still remaining after golf that day.
As it turned out, there was a “1st Annual Autism Awareness Tournament” being held at Legacy the next day. The chairperson for the tournament happened to be at Legacy that day to gratefully accept all the donated baked goods from the Legacy Ladies Golf Association — all to be auctioned off at the golf tournament boasting 144 players! All of the money from the bake goods went to autism awareness. The Legacy Ladies Golf Association is proud to be able to donate to such a worthy cause.
Since May 31, the The Legacy Ladies have started their summer play at The Preserve at Tara on both Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the summer months.
They are enjoying playing their league at Tara this summer, but are also keeping a close watch at the exciting upgrades the Legacy Club staff are doing right now to upgrade the course. They are getting new greens, some new cart paths and repairing most of the bunkers… woot woot!
